Breaking News | | August's Pitcher of the Month Goes to Blevins Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: A 5-0 record with a 1.26 ERA is a pretty good month for most any pitcher. The Eastern League thought it was worthy of an award and named Mac Blevins, starter for the Richmond Flying Squirrels, August's Pitcher of the Month.
He also held the opposition to a .217 average while posting 26 strikeouts in 50 innings.

That's why Anthony Walter of the Reading Phillies was named the Eastern League's best batter in August.
